Oh, it was good to be back in Gotham! FOX, in my opinion, has a winner with this show! The latest episode, What the Little Bird Told HIm, has me begging for more! If you haven’t seen it yourself yet, look the other way so as not to have it spoiled! Unless you’re ok with spoilers. I am not. I hate them. They ruin the enjoyment for me. Choice is yours … continue reading and you will see spoilers!
Sometimes I wish I was behind just enough to be able to sit and binge watch several episodes at a time. Last night was one of those times because I now have burning questions and, had I the next episode of two to go ahead and watch, I could have those questions answered I’m sure! OH! THE WAIT! IT KILLS ME sometimes! I still don’t want spoilers but, oh my, is it hard sometimes!
Let’s talk about Barbara for a moment.
I kind of felt sorry for her. Her parents are insensitive and uncaring fakers. No wonder she’s so messed up! I get why she bite off more than she could chew in demanding to be a part of all of Gordon’s life. She wants to be included, a part of, not just a show piece. When Ms. MCU blew her off to protect her own career, that probably made her feel like her parents make her feel. I still don’t like her but I did feel horrible for her.
So much so I wanted to tell Gordon, ‘WAIT! You don’t understand! Barbara, you need to understand where she’s coming from!’ when he kissed the doctor. Go figure!
Fish Mooney. Oh my, you’d think she of all people would know not to let her heart get in the way of business. Falcone was right. Papers make not a Don. A Don, feelings or not, family or not, you take care of your business. If her business is to take over from Falcone, she should have taken him out. I have a feeling that’s a lesson she’ll learn soon, should she survive.
Which brings me to question number one. They aren’t really going to kill her off are they? She brings too much to the show to get rid of her now! This little cat and mouse game Falcone plays with her, a game that she sees but is too arrogant to understand, I love watching it!
Don Maroni is another question. He’s staying on the show, too, right? They haven’t suggested he’s not but he is a rival Don and I’ve watched the Godfather movies! (to name one) I love love love his character and the actor who plays him, David Zayas. How Penguin has managed to work for both Maroni and Falcone at the same time is beyond me! I imagine Maroni would make an example of Penguin if he knew.
And he has a role of importance with both Maroni and Falcone! Fish has no idea what she lost in getting rid of Penguin, another testament of her arrogant ego.
Penguin getting to rub her face in it is highly entertaining! I half expected him to rub her face, literally, as though he were petting a ‘pet’.
I’d thought this Electrocutioner was going to play out over many episodes but it kind of looked like Gordon wrapped him up by arresting him. Speaking of, the cup of water was both brilliant and anti-climactic, no? It did make me laugh but in more of a ‘you’ve got to be kidding me’ kind of way. Criminal genius and he didn’t account for a cup of water? That was as disappointing as it was funny. Maybe we’ll see more of him once he’s back at Arkham.
I’m guessing that if we see the Joker this season it’ll be in the finale and not fully revealed until next season. Gotham was picked up for a second season so possibilities abound! Exciting! Tell me, Barbara or Dr. Thompkins? I’m not sure anymore myself. Help me out!
