One of my aunts told me when I was young that Sundays should be for quiet contemplation, a day set aside to rejuvenate and prepare you for the coming week. An inspiration day, she said. Hence, “Inspiration Sunday”!
This time of year I’m looking for better ways to organize more so than the rest of the year. I was window-shopping, so to speak, via a Google image search, looking for ideas to help manage our house better. This little black dress jewelry organizer caught my eye. My daughter would LOVE this and, as much as I’m not into cutesy, I would get this for her in a heartbeat if I weren’t trying not to spend right now. How cute is this? She has a lot of jewelry and I find it, often, in the weirdest places. Maybe a birthday gift?
My kitchen has come a long way since I purged a ton of items I never used a year ago. Still, there’s a lot of room for improvement. My cabinets do not support this type of pull out pantry rack but, OH do I wish! I would love to move my big spice containers into something like this and free up the shelves they currently reside on for … pots and pans? Less often used dishes or who knows. I’d find something better to put over top of my stove than my spices!
I’m still working, slowly (re: very slowly) (re: re: almost non-existent kind of slow this week) on ridding my office of clutter and organizing my junk in a more productive and, hopefully, attractive manner. This shelving system with the cubby holes and baskets is BEAUTIFUL and inspires me to A) want to spend money, B) beg Mike to buy or make me something like this and C) group like-things together so I can fill up those baskets! Oh man do I love this! The baskets not only could hold a lot of loose objects but hide them from sight, making my office look, wait for it, organized! Plus, my desk would have so much more room if I had somewhere to put all my crap.
