I awoke this morning feeling woefully behind, tired, sick and just plain overwhelmed. So much I need to get done this week from Thanksgiving cooking (need to get casseroles in the freezer, pies or in the least, pie crusts done, too), extra cleaning so we can decorate for Christmas on Black Friday and a butt-ton of backend work on my blogs! I’m giving SERIOUS thought (again) to merging my gaming blog into this one and getting rid of my second Twitter and G+ profiles. Everytime I’ve made the decision to do just this, …. maybe four times this year, I talk myself out of it. Anyway, getting all the backend work done is a job I need to do whether I merge them or leave them as is. But.
I’M SO TIRED! This head cold isn’t going much of anywhere yet and the bout with that stomach bug that may have been food poisoning, a bout that came back for round eight-hundred-and-fourty-seven two, hasn’t helped me feel better at all this week. Oh, and my back still hurts.
BAH HUMBUG! (pretty accurate description of how I feel at the moment)
So I awoke this morning feeling bad in more ways than one. I stood at the aquarium after feeding the fish with my face in my hands, near tears, as the reality of what I need to do this week versus what I haven’t done this week hit. Oof. I pulled out my phone to look at my to-do lists on Google Keep. When I was done I pressed and held the button that allows me to close every open app with one touch, all at once. That’s when I saw this.
She’s wearing her Cheshire Cat Woot shirt, a shirt I *think* she wore a couple of days ago. The gallery for my phone pictures was running and that was the picture I saw in the list of open apps. Somehow she got my phone, again, and took another slew of selfies. She does this to ANYONE’S phone she sees laying about the house. Leave your phone unattended and you’ll find ten weirdo selfie pictures of my daughter. Promise.
It cracked me up.
As did these.
In case you’re wondering, she does have eyebrows. They glow as though they’re neon in the summer when she’s gotten a bit of sun on her face. The rest of the year, they’re very hard to see!
Oh, and she loves to try and creep people out with her lazy eye tricks of moving just one eye. Have I told you guys my daughter is a weirdo?
Anyway, as annoying as it can be to find a ton of selfies on my phone, and sometimes it IS annoying, this morning it was exactly what I needed to put a smile on my face and turn my morning around. She might be a weirdo selfie sneak, but she’s my weirdo selfie sneak.
I’ve cut my to-do list down to just making pie crusts, sweet potato casserole and finishing my chicken stock today. Oh, and I need to watch last night’s episode of Stalker! Dusting can wait and I figure if I do one casserole a day, I’ll still have them done in enough time so that I don’t have to spend 24 hours cram cooking. Who wants to come make pies for me?
