Coffee Chat: It’s just not coming together. Yet.

Oh. Em. Gee.

I’ve been trying to write up my post on this week’s Blacklist and it doesn’t want to come together. Not even a little bit. I enjoyed the episode but I’m struggling hard trying to write about it. I’m hoping I get over whatever’s blocking the juices and get it up before next week’s airs!

I woke this morning feeling very overwhelmed. When I picked Boo up from her crib I accidentally got her, under her eye, with my finger nail, scratching her face. I felt it but she didn’t react in the slightest so when I pulled her to my face to give her a kiss and saw the angry red scratch, I felt horrible! It happens, she wasn’t bothered in the least, probably because she was excited to see me, but it makes you feel like dirt when you do that.

I was stressing (over nothing and everything) and decided to just walk around picking things up and putting them in their proper places when I heard the rumble of a diesel engine in the driveway. I turned around, saw Mike’s truck pulling up beside my Tahoe and immediately felt my eyes go wet. It’s so silly, and dramatic (I’m 74% drama queen, remember?) but I felt like someone had my back as soon as I saw his truck. It was instantly relieving to see him home!

I’ve been experiencing numbness in my fingers on my right hand lately, actually it’s half my hand. I haven’t felt this in years and as I was telling Mike about it it hit me. Mike and Boo bought me the most AMAZING new desk chair for my birthday that has arm rests. I haven’t had arm rests in a good six years because I removed them to stop my right hand fingers from going numb on me! Doh!

Years ago I had a big thick glass top to my desk. I fell one day, slamming my elbow, right on the funny bone area, on the edge of this glass top. I couldn’t move my arm for days and wound up in a sling, completely off the computer even, for at least three weeks. It was torture! And painful! Ever since I’ve noticed arm rests, if I use them, cause numbness in that hand. It’d been so long, however, I’d forgotten. I guess time really does fade the pain, no?

Mike took the right arm rest off my chair for me but I decided to keep the left one. Looks funny but I don’t care. My left elbow will be pampered with the amazing feeling cushion as it rests.

We’re soon going to be switching internet providers but we need a 50 foot cable to allow Mike’s and my computers to partake of the super fast connection first. We don’t have wireless cards and our mobo’s are capable and since this is a wireless internet provider we require something. I was hoping to run the cable this weekend (I want it as out of sight as possible) but … someone forgot to bring a cable when he came home. That’s okay, though, we’ve had sorry speeds for almost ten years. What’s another week?

Soon, though! One of the games I play has horrible lag and I’m sure most of it has to do with our craptastical internet speeds. I’m actually not playing that particular game until we switch to the new provider. Death by lag hurts my soul.
