I guess it was 14 or 15 years ago, when Babygirl was either two or three years old, that we took her with us to do some Christmas shopping. Kids that little don’t pay attention to what you’re doing, specifically, when there are lots of sights to see. Plus, they don’t always remember well when dealing with the sensory overload often accompanies Christmas shopping. No?
No.
Once home I took all the presents into our room and wrapped them while Mike played with Babygirl in the living room. She ran into our room as soon as I opened the door, looked at our bed stacked with colorful presents wrapped in Santa paper, and then started pointing at them one by one. As she pointed she told me *exactly* what was in each gift! Stunned, I ushered her out of the room and rewrapped some of them in different boxes.
That little snot did it again!
How she was able to correctly guess ALL of the presents is beyond me. She’s smarter than she looks, that one! That was the last year we took her with us when doing our shopping and, as you might guess, the last year she pegged each of the presents before they were unwrapped.
Kids! Sheesh!
